Funky Tumblers

Tell me u love funky tumblers without telling me u love me funky tumblers.

Been using my Funky Fish tumbler for years, the one with turquoise lid. It's made of stoneware and silicone lid. I bought it when I was in Manila at a defunct Funky Fish shop in Glorietta Mall. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. There were 2 of them in different designs, but I only had a budget to buy one, hehe... I've been using it everyday and been taking care of it ever since.

Exhausting Day

Yesterday, I went to HMR where they sell assorted stuff from Australia and USA. They sell some really cool stuff from furniture to kitchenware and appliances and even lawn mowers. They also sell random gadgets, ornaments, clothes and random knick-knacks. I've bought plenty of stuff there in the past. They only one branch in my city and their store is pretty huge. Yesterday, I purchased this aesthetically eye-catching wall clock from Anko. Its not a fancy brand but I love the design. It's larger than ur average wall clock. Not quite common, I must say.

Sadly, when I came back home, I had a problem trying to figure out why the wall clock wouldn't move its hands. I tried contacting the salesperson about it. I tried watching video tutorials on YouTube on how to fix wall clocks. I felt really stressed about it. I thought I would just go back to the store to return it or have it exchanged with another item since it's the only one left. It's the first time I bought a defective item from them. Part of me hesitated to return it since I love the design of the clock. If worse to worst, I'll just have it repaired. We have another wall clock in the house so I bought it mainly for wall decoration, but really hoping it would at least work.

Thank God, I finally figured out how to fix it late last night by accident. I tried to remove the minute and hour hands which were difficult to pull out. I tried to re-install and adjust them. Finally, it worked!

It's been more than 15 hours and it's working so far. Hope it doesn't get stuck like it did yesterday. I still have 6 days left for warranty service.

I hung it above our family wall frames in the living room for visibility.

Music Videos I Want To See in HD

I'm a music lover but not a big fan of the contemporary ones except for some. Never been a fan of Beyoncé or Rihanna or Taylor Swift or Justin Beiber or Drake. I think the only Beyonce song that I like is "Baby Boy" feat. Sean Paul. The rest of her songs are not my cup of tea, sorry.

I grew up in the early 90s during the MTV Era til early 2000s and now, everyone's switching and tuning in to YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.

Most of my favorite music videos can be found on YouTube but sad to say that some of them aren't. I looked everywhere from Vimeo, DailyMotion to OK.ru. I couldn't find an HD version of them. I can't even find Nikki Flores's "Strike" except on Tidal and Apple Music which I'm not a paid member, so I can't view the entire music video. I've seen it on YouTube years ago and it disappeared or got deleted for some reason.

Below are the list of the music videos that I want to see in HD version or at least in 4K resolution, not the SD and exceptionally poor quality versions.

30. Here We Go Again by Sara Paxton
31. Put Your Records On by Corrrine Bailey Rae
32. Brick by Ben Folds Five

I hope one day, someone will upload them in HD because I really wanna see them.

I've had this blog for years and it seems that nobody gives a single "F" about it. So I'm gonna make it my own diary.

It's past 8 0'clock here in the Philippines. Usually, I would wake up to open my phone to check any notifications or I go to the bathroom to pee or do my number 2. I do have a Facebook account and I have only less than 150 friends in there. My Facebook account is private and most of my friends in there are family members, extended family, former schoolmates, some neighbors and a few random strangers.

One of my friends from high school, she recently flew to Canada for work as a Burger King fast food manager. We are not super close but she is part of my clique or maybe I was because I feel like I don't really belong in their "Group Chat". None of them ever liked or commented on any of my Facebook posts except for 3 of them. But nowadays, I hardly ever get any likes from them. LIKE I CARE, REALLY! And then her husband followed her to Canada to be with her. And most recently, all their 4 kids have finally stepped foot on Canadian soil.

So, why am I talking about Canada or my friend? Well, back in 2011, I applied for a Canadian tourist visa. I thought I was going to be finally touring around Canada. I was so excited and ecstatic about it. I have never seen or experienced snow or winter in my whole life. I know Canada isn't the only country that has 4 seasons. Unfortunately, my tourist visa got rejected and the fee was non-refundable. It was my Canadian slave who wanted me to go there. He was going to be my sponsor. I have known him since 2010. I still talk to him but he is in his 70's now and he's retired from his former job as a Med Rep. He's currently working as a hotel concierge. He still lives in Quebec but he moved out of Montreal after he retired. I guess he doesn't earn that much compared to when he was still a Med Rep cuz he said he can't afford to travel any longer. I met him 7 times in the past and we always stayed in 5 star hotels. I have no idea how much the cost of living in Canada and he's not my slave anymore, but he calls me on the phone regularly on Viber. We are like best friends. Back then, he used to call me on the phone, as in long-distance phone calls cuz he used to make a lot of money.

So, back on Facebook, I clicked on my friend's husband's profile who is not on my friend's list cuz he regularly posts stuff and updates about his/their life and whatnot. I scrolled down and I ask myself if I'm ever going to be traveling again like I used to. I have only been to Hong Kong a couple of times and one time in Bangkok, Thailand. I lost my passport and it requires a lot of patience and documents to get a new one. I admit I feel kind of envious of them or my friend who is in Chicago and the rest of the people that I know who are either working or living abroad. And I'm stuck here like I'm at the bottom of the world. A couple of years ago, I was way ahead of them and now, I am totally left behind. I feel like my life is not exciting anymore. I am not depressed but I am just sad that I have not fulfilled any of my goals. I'm still grateful for the small blessings that I get and even grateful now that we finally have our home and not renting anymore. I finally have my own bedroom, my own space. My younger sister is a nurse and she is currently working in Abu Dhabi. I don't have any brothers. She bought this house for me and my parents. Technically, it's her house and we just live here. We just moved to this place last May 18 which is a couple of blocks away from our former house that we rented. And my aunts live a few blocks away and we get to bond and gather around to eat and watch some horror movies.

I wish I could have my own house but I guess it's not possible anymore. I don't know. Maybe if I won a lottery or if #MrBeast or #JimmyDarts would give me one.

To be continued... I have to eat breakfast and clean the house.

ONE PIECE (NEXTFLIX LIVE ACTION)

It's September 05 and I've just finished watching the entire 8 episodes of One Piece on Netflix. I can't thank my sister enough for sharing with me her Netflix account. I hardly watch TV series especially on streaming apps. I used to do that many years ago on our local TV but I gave up cuz I lost my enthusiasm in them. I have seen and followed some really god ones that I truly enjoyed and loved, either local or international. I used to watch a few Korean dramas before they gained worldwide fame. I eventually got tired of watching K Dramas and I'm definitely not a fan of any K Pop groups or artists. I grew up loving Yu Yu Hakusho and I heard that Netflix has started filming it already which will premiere sometime next year, hopefully. Yu Yu Hakusho will always be my favorite Manga series. I also enjoyed watching Flame Of Recca, Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, Pokemon and Shaman King, but Yu Yu Hakusho will always be my number 1.

Speaking of Netflix's live action of One Piece, I am just so in love with the actors they picked for the roles. The action scenes were fun, edge-of-your-seat and enthralling. The CGI, the setting and the makeups were impressive. I love the flow of the story - they showed backstories of each of the main characters. I can't wait to see the next episode and I hope that Netflix will continue this series til the very end czu I want to see more.

I Googled some photos of my favorite characters based on their looks. I initially fell in love with Mackenyu and then this guy who played Buggy's character. He was a clown in the series but I could tell he is definitely hot in person. And Sanji, he's so dreamy. The actor whop played Luffy and the rest of the characters were all cute and charming. I'm also in love with the actor who played Dracula Mihawk in the series.

Zark's Galore

Back when we used to have Zark's Burgers in our city. It was the first and only Zark's fast food in my hometown. I have never seen or even been to their physical store cuz at the time or , it was in the middle of the pandemic so we had to order food from Food Panda most of the time. I just love their burgers! They're huge, meaty, juicy and very reasonable compared to international burger brands like McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's or even Jollibee. I would usually order their group promo meals if they were available.

I've only tried Zark's Burgers once when I was in Manila. They have more branches there.

Then recently, I don't see Zark's Burgers on Food Panda anymore and neither on Google map. Too bad they shut down because honestly, their burgers were the best. I hope they come back anytime soon or in the near future.

Zark's Burger's is owned by a Filipino businessman. I don't know if they have expanded their branches abroad cuz I haven't checked it out.

I live in a small city. Years ago, we used to have Italianni's, TGIFriday's and Sbarro. I wish we would have more American food chains in my city. I wish we had Subway, Wendy's, Randy's Donuts, Tim Hortons, Taco Bell, Denny's, Popeye's, Shake Shack, Johnny Rockets, Chili's, Bugsy's, Racks, 8 Cuts Burgers and Hooters. I've only tried them when I was in Manila except for Rack's, Chili's, Popeye's, Denny's, Shake Shack and Randy's Donuts (which is quite new in the country).

I actually celebrated my 29th birthday at Hooter's Mall Of Asia bay-side area.
